Yes! I have A LOT of yarn!

We built a house this past winter. Well, we had a house built. I've made the statement lately that instead of me planting a garden this year, they planted a house, in my garden.😢 A friend said, 'THAT is going to be hard to get out'.  Kind of like the poke berry plant I let grow in the manure pile a few years ago.  I wanted to use the berries to dye some wool. When it was time to remove it, I thought I was going to have to get a chainsaw. So I guess the house will stay.

Since it's so close to our old house we've been moving things over slowly. In the process I've been forced to come to grips with the stark reality of just how much yarn and fiber I have.  It's taken me a few months to be willing to purge my stash.  I've made up some pages here so people can take a look at what I am letting go of.  I'm hoping to sell it locally but I am willing to ship if someone is willing to pay the shipping.  I'm planning on posting the yarn on Facebook Marketplace and putting out some fliers in town. I've got more to post at this point.  I'll let you know when it's all out there.  I've got a lot of novelty, textured and mohair types to post, and also a little bit of bulky yarns to go through.  And yes, I chuckled to myself when I typed 'a little bit' because that really is subjective.  I just looked up the definition of subjective to make sure I was using it correctly. It means 'modified or affected by personal views, experience, or background.' Yup! That pretty much sums it up.

I realized a few months ago why the quantity of yarn didn't seem to affect me like it does some people who see it.  I worked at Michaels Arts and Crafts for 14 years.  During that time I spent a lot of time taking care of the yarn department. Have you ever been in a store like that on a day when the truck comes in and the boxes and boxes of yarn are stacked up waiting to be put out? Then you might understand how my 'personal views, experience, and background' have been 'modified'.

When I get done posting the yarn, I've got some wool that I want to sell. Most if not all of it has been processed by me.  I'll let you know more about that in the near future. In the meantime click on Stash Busting ~ Yarn for Sale here or in the menu above.  It will take you to a page with a list of links where the yarn is divided by brands and types.

This makes me remember the 12 Steps for Yarnaholics I wrote up several years ago.  I'll have to find that and post it for you.
