I have a thing for white cats. I had two of them when I was growing up. But this cat, Smokey, was a beautiful cat. He belonged to my oldest son Micah. My father-in-law had a horse barn with about 20 horses and who knows how many cats and kittens. If someone had a cat that needed a home he would take it in. One summer Micah saw this kitten in the barn and wanted it and his grandpa said he could have it if he could catch it. Well, grandpa didn't tell us until after Micah caught it that it was the meanest kitten he'd ever seen. Micah brought it home and kept Smokey in a cabin we have at the edge of our woods that served as a workshop. The boys spent a lot of time down there 'inventing' things so it gave him and the cat a lot of time together. Once Smokey was tamed Micah took him to the barn were he was free to wander and enjoy the other animals. He turned into the sweetest cat.
